特別專題演講：日本東北大地震後仙台地區災後廢棄物管理現況

The 11^thInternational Symposium on East Asian Resources Recycling Technology will be held from October 31 through November 4, 2011 at The Splendor Hotel in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Under the auspices of The Formosa Association of Resource Recycling (FARR) and National Cheng Kung University, the preparations for the meetings are going smoothly and most of works are close to complete. We are looking forward to welcoming every participant with our open arms.  

As the symposium has been paid great attention in Taiwan and abroad, total 203 academic papers plan to deliver at the meetings. In addition to following the previous practices to invite member countries to deliver their representative keynote speeches at the meetings, Professor Toshiaki Yoshioka from Japan is invited to the conference to deliver a special keynote speech on the issue of Japan’s March 11 earthquake rehabilitation. Besides, the symposium will open 30 oral presentations and two poster presentations. It is estimated that total 400 participants will join us in this grand occasion.

Also, in the agenda, two forums regarding “Recycling of steelmaking slag” ands “Integrated management of regional recyclable resources” will be held separately in the conference for experts, scholars, politicians and businessmen from various countries to discuss and exchange opinions face-to-face on the two subjects. Simultaneous English-Chinese translation is available for the convenience of the participants from Taiwan’s related industries in exchange views at the meetings.

It is earnestly hoped that through the discussions and exchange of knowledge and experiences at the meetings, every participant can make more international friends, grasp the latest trend of the development of related technology, create business opportunities and advance the development of resource recycling.
